Buyer’s agents are great for people who don’t have time to study and search the property market, or people who simply don’t want the stress. More than that, they actually offer something that the average person can’t do – which is use their years and years of experience in the property market to get the best result, without emotional involvement. Buyer’s agents are experts in financial negotiations and bidding strategies. They also have access to properties that may not be advertised yet, which means you may be able to get in and make an offer before the general public becomes your competition!

Buyer’s agents do come at a cost though. Some will charge an upfront fee, and some will take a percentage of the sale price of your property (and others will do both). When trying to decide whether using a buyer’s agent is right for you, consider whether the charges are justified by the time and money you’ll save. Don’t forget that the cost of hiring a buyer’s agent is usually tax deductible.
